Aronia Nero Superberry: 4-year-old – 60/80 cm in a 4 liter pot

A very special offer. We offer our classic – Nero Superberry in another pot size. Its strong, vig orous growth and plant age of 4 years are particularly impressive. This is because from the 5th year onwards, aronia plants produce regular harvests. This variety and variation of the popular Nero variety can already bear its first berries this year. Superberry is specially bred vegetatively for fruit cultivation and lives up to its name.

Tips for the green thumb:

• Avoid waterlogging
• However, compensate for dry periods by providing sufficient water
• Loosen up pure clay soils with light gravel
• Enhance pure sandy soils with humus
• Fertilizing is only necessary when needed – only use organic fertilizers for this purpose
• Only use bark mulch very carefully so as not to compact the soil unnecessarily (oxygen supply)
• The aronia berry prefers to be in a really sunny position – the berries ripen better and become even more aromatic this way
• protect the berries from the birds with nets at harvest time, stretch the nets to the ground – otherwise there is a risk of injury to the animals
• Stimulate growth in the first two years of growth by pruning for growth
• apply rejuvenation pruning in subsequent years if necessary
