Jam*, jam, fruit spread – as delicious as grandma’s and easy to make yourself. Today we’ll show you how it’s done and what you need!
You’re wondering: Already?? The berries on the bushes aren’t even ripe yet!
We say: You don’t always need fresh berries from the bush to create delicious fruit spreads. Amazing jam wonders can also be made with great, fruity not-from-concentrate juices, saving your Sunday breakfast.
Making jam* yourself is easy. With just
three things, you can whip up your new favorite jam:
- Preserving jars
- Jelling sugar
- Juice/berries
Jelling sugar:
Besides the fruit, sugar is the most important component of jam. Not only does it sweeten our favorite spread, but it also preserves it. There are different types: 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1. These numbers refer to the ratio of fruit to sugar. For a less sweet, jelly-like jam, we recommend 3:1 jelling sugar, where one part sugar is used for three parts fruit.
Juice/berries:
The choice of fruit for your jam or jelly is up to you. In
our recipe collection, you’ll find great recipes for tasty
